Make A Wish

I  begin writing this with two hours still left to my birthday. Not that any of you would care, but apparently today is also the day this blog turns two years old. Again, not that any of you would care…BUT

But?

But what?

Oh, I don’t know. I’m seventeen, so there’s that. I’m currently loaded up on birthday cake and pizza and fizzy sugar and feel slightly sick but also very contended since it’s been a quiet and peaceful birthday consisting mostly of watching a movie with the parental units and the sibling squad. (Squad? Wut? I’m sorry, I’m really very sleepy and don’t think I’ll make much sense) Mum came in at 12 am and we danced around while she sang ‘seventeeeeen, seventeeeeeeeeeen’.

My brother is very disappointed at the lack of return gifts while Kid #3 seemed scandalized at the lack of a birthday cake (until papa decided not having a cake just seemed wrong and sent kid #2 to get one–it was quite nice)

Kid #2 gave me a snow globe (snow globe snow globe snow globe!) with a passive aggressive birthday card. Ze best friend gave me spiral-bound notebooks and a Harry Potter poster (things I absolutely adore) as well as a pack of Cheetos.

Gotta love the family!
